At 9:30 Dennis Nyback will introduce the NOT TO BE MISSED screening of Fétiche Mascotte (aka The Mascot, aka The Devil’s Ball) (1934) by Ladislas Starevich.   Our feature for the evening, “Viy” or Spirit of Evil (1967) PG, Directed by Georgy Kropachyov and Konstantin Yershov.   Based on a story by Nikolai Gogol.  It is one of the first soviet horror films ever made and will start at 10 pm.  But be warned: the occasion and social nature of our patrons may, on this night, transform the atmosphere of our screening chamber from it’s normal calm!   After “Viy” there will be music.
